interesting treadmill workouts can save your exercise program
If you find yourself growing
tired of just doing the same boring treadmill workouts day after
day, you should try something new. This is actually much more
important than you might originally think, as there’s much more at
stake than just whether or not you’re bored. Treadmill workouts
that bore you will make you less likely to get back on the
treadmill the next day.
You can start to make your own
great treadmill workouts by experimenting. The first thing to try
is just to change your resistance and incline levels several times
during each workout. In fact, the simplest treadmill workout is
just to alternate different resistance levels. This doesn’t
necessarily make your workout much more interesting, however, it
gives you a short term goal to work towards and it is much easier
to keep exercising when what you’re doing changes (if only
slightly) every few minutes.
Other great treadmill workouts
include walking backwards on your treadmill (though you should
only try this if you have a lot of experience walking on
treadmills) and using a tape recorder to record anything that you
might think of while you’re exercising. The benefit to the first
treadmill workout is that it will work slightly different muscles
as well as capture your interest with a challenge. The major
benefit to the second workout idea is just that it gives you
something interesting to do.
However, these are only a few
options, and you should definitely think of new treadmill workouts
in order to keep yourself interested in your exercise program.
